Description
There are just some days you need a pint to unwind. Ahhh. That’s better! 😉 What could be better than a pint of Ireland’s famous brew? Perhaps a giant bronze sculpture of the famous perfect pint that shows off the history of the company? Well you can’t drink this one, or the yarn color inspired by it, but it sure was cool to see!
This was taken at Guinness Storehouse in Dublin, Ireland. Through a self guided tour you can learn the history of the brew from the hops and water that they use to the different modes of transportation used throughout the years to past and current advertising. At the end of the tour, you can learn to pour your own perfect pint! You can see Ireland’s rich farming history sculpted in the bottom to middle portion. The horses at the top represent the vital role they played throughout history in making Guinness the drink that it is today, from pulling the plow to plant the fields, to pulling the wagons full of kegs to their destinations.
The variegated yarn color reflects these bronze tones with a pale golden yellow to represent the top of the sculpture, a medium toned brown and a rich bronze color finishing off the skein. If you gravitate towards browns then this would be the perfect skein for you!
