Description
On the northwestern side of Ireland is the Connemara National Park. It is sometimes considered the highlands of the Republic of Ireland. It’s full of lochs, mountains, roaming sheep, and rugged coastlines. I captured this photo on my way to Kylemore Abbey; the mist of a recent brief rain was just covering the mountains with the sun trying to poke through.
This tonal yarn color is full soft tans and subtle green shades with a few speckles scattered throughout, bringing to mind the wild grasses and reeds of a mountain meadow. I can picture this kettle dyed colorway worked up into a cowl or scarf.
