Gooseberry Falls

Description

Gooseberry Falls State Park is a nature packed park along the north shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota. Not far from Duluth, this stunning landscape focuses on the upper and lower waterfalls of the Gooseberry River before it enters into Lake Superior. There are hiking and walking trails galore! Trails will take you along the south side of the river all the way to the top of the upper falls, down to the lower falls, and a walking bridge will connect you to the north side of the river. This is the perfect spot to stop and stretch your legs as you’re headed up the North Shore.

This photo is of the upper falls in autumn. The leaves had just begun to turn. For this variegated colorway, I focused on the brown of the rock,  the beautiful shades of green, and the white frothiness of the water.

Please note that color variations may occur from skein to skein as a result of hand dyeing. I have matched the colors in the photo as close as real life as possible however some differences may be noticed from monitor to monitor. Please also order as many skeins as you need for your project as color variation may happen one dye lot to the next.
