Description
Owyhee Blue Opal is a special shade of blue opal that can only be found in the Owyhee Mountains, along the Idaho and Oregon border. While it does not have the stunning flash of color that most opals do, it ranges in shades of blue from the palest icy blue to a wonderful sky blue.
I recreated this shade of blue on silk yarn for your crafting pleasure. This colorway is part of my Treasures of the Earth collection, featuring colorways inspired by semi-precious stones, gemstones, crystals, and rocks that I pick up on my travels. The skeins are a beautiful icy blue with a bit of darker sky blue, with a bit of shimmering white peaking through. On silk, this colorways just glimmers.

Please note if a color is listed as a ‘backorder’ option, it will be dyed to order and may take up to a week to ship.
Please note that color variations may occur from skein to skein as a result of hand dyeing. I have matched the colors in the photo as close as real life as possible however some differences may be noticed from monitor to monitor. Please also order as many skeins as you need for your project as color variation may happen one dye lot to the next.
