Prairie Grass

Description

Prairie Grass is part of my new Mountain High, Prairie Wide tonal collection. Prairie grass takes on this lovely gray-green with a pale undertone of brownish yellow during mid to late summer. As it blows in the wind, it creates an almost lonesome but wild landscape.  In some parts of the prairie, the roots can be as long as the grass above ground.

This complex colorway is a mixture of that slight yellow, gray-green color with subtle speckles of brown. The speckles are subtle enough that you won’t be able to see them until you’re close to the yarn. This tonal colorway is perfect for large sections of knitting or crochet, such as bodies of sweaters/cardigans, or patterned sections of shawls/other accessories where you need the pattern to really show through.

Machine wash gentle on cool (Hand washing is highly recommended to preserve the life of the finished item)

Please note if a color is listed as a ‘backorder’ option, it will be dyed to order and may take up to a week to ship.

Please note that color variations may occur from skein to skein as a result of hand dyeing. I have matched the colors in the photo as close as real life as possible however some differences may be noticed from monitor to monitor. Please also order as many skeins as you need for your project as color variation may happen one dye lot to the next.
