When do you ship?
All in stock orders ship out the next business day. Backordered / dyed to order items can take up to three weeks (usually less). Please allow this time when ordering an item that is back ordered before reaching out about your order.
What does it mean when a colorway can be backordered?
This is how the website has items listed as dyed to order. If a colorway is not currently in stock, and the base yarn is on hand, then the colorway can be dyed to order. This can be a great option if ordering multiple skeins of a colorway. Backordered / Dyed to order items can take up to three weeks for completion.
How do your yarns arrive? In skein form or pre-wound balls?
All of our yarns arrive in skein form and will need to be wound into a ball prior to use. The fibers are able to stay relaxed if the yarn is allowed to remain in hanks/skeins until you are ready to use them.
Do you wind skeins into balls for orders?
Unfortunately we are unable to offer this service due to time and volume of orders. Winding them into balls would also increase shipping costs and we try to keep that as low as possible for you.
What should I make with your yarns?
That is totally up to you! Ravelry.com is a wonderful website to search patterns by yarn type, yardage, weight, or even searching by item such as sweater, socks, hats, etc. Let your imagination go and the creativity will flow through. Please be sure to post a picture of whatever you make with our yarns to our Facebook Page. We love to see everyone’s creations.
How should I care for your yarns?
Our superwash wool yarns are machine washable and have a long life wearability. However we recommend to still hand wash these yarns to enjoy them as long as possible. The superwash wool is great for items that are worn frequently such as hats, scarves, mittens, socks, etc. Any other high quality yarn that we offer including Merino wool, silk, Peruvian wool should be hand washed ONLY! It is a good idea to keep the recipient in mind when using these luxury yarns; throwing them in a washing machine would ruin the finished item (and all of your hard work!). If you are ever in doubt about how to care for a yarn, please always hand wash.
Are your colors really based off of your travels?
Yes they are! I was bitten by the travel bug at an early age and try to escape to a new place every chance I can.
Do you use photos from the internet, professional photos, or your own as inspiration?
I (Stephanie) use my own photos from my travels. I am not a professional photographer, I just get lucky sometimes with my photos.
Do you ever sell any of your photos?
At this point I do not. Just the gorgeous yarn that the photograph inspired. Perhaps in the future I may on a different site.
