Description
Camas Blossom is part of my new Mountain High, Prairie Wide Tonal Collection. The Camas blossom, while sometimes thought of as a lily, is actually a member of the asparagus family and has blooms ranging from light lavender to a stunning blue-purple. They are commonly found in damp meadows that dry out in late spring throughout the Pacific Northwest, from Wyoming and Montana to the Pacific Ocean. Native American tribes in the Northwest would steam the bulbs to break them down into ample amounts of sugar fructose. When a meadow is in bloom, it can blue violet in color for as far as the eye can see.
This photo showcased the perfect example of that blue purple blossom. This colorway is dyed in kettle style with blue and purple, allowing the colors to flow into each other. This colorway would be perfect for the body of sweaters.

Please note if a color is listed as a ‘backorder’ option, it will be dyed to order and may take up to a week to ship.
Please note that color variations may occur from skein to skein as a result of hand dyeing. I have matched the colors in the photo as close as real life as possible however some differences may be noticed from monitor to monitor. Please also order as many skeins as you need for your project as color variation may happen one dye lot to the next.
