Fire Opal

Description

Fire Opal is a new two skein set with perfect complimenting colors. This set features one skein in my Sunstone colorway, which is an orange peach color and another skein is shimmery white gray speckled with reds, oranges, and yellows. Both yarns are on my Starmap sparkle base. The sparkle helps it resemble an actual fire opal.

This set was originally created for Casapinka’s Hug Shot. This shawl requires two skeins of at least 400 yards each, one in a solid color and the other in a speckled/variegated colorway.

70% Superwash Merino wool, 25% nylon, 5% Stellina
Fingering Weight
438 yards / 100 grams
2 ply
7-8 stitches = 1″ on #1-3 needles
21-32 sc = 4″ on B-E hooks
Machine wash gentle / Tumble dry low

Please note that color variations may occur from skein to skein as a result of hand dyeing. I have matched the colors in the photo as close as real life as possible however some differences may be noticed from monitor to monitor.
