Iron Filigree Silk Mohair

Description

Iron Filigree represents the deep blue black that can be found on an iron fence. This particular iron fence was found in an cemetery in the remains of an old mining town called Placerville in mountains of Idaho.  The site for Placerville was selected in December of 1862 and by May or June of 1863 it had a booming population of 5,000. As a testament to the quick moving mining rushes of various materials, the population dropped down to 318 by the time 1870 rolled around.   I loved the way this iron fence looked, as one last remaining memories of the civilization here.

This colorway whispers of steel gray blue on the silk mohair. This is the perfect tonal for contrast. It would work for any fingering weight project, and would nicely compliment any colorway!

I have matched the colors in the photo as close as real life as possible however some differences may be noticed from monitor to monitor. Please also order as many skeins as you need for your project as color variation may happen one dye lot to the next.
