Description
Rusted Dreams is reminiscent of another lifetime. Have you ever stumbled upon the remains of an old farming town where the tallest building is a grainery? Maybe it’s still in use. Maybe it’s been left alone in the elements. I came across this abandoned elevator in Mekinock, North Dakota being swallowed up by long grasses and trees. The wood siding was falling apart, rotting away in places, and the metal was rimmed with rust; time had definitely taken its toll on this hard working machine building. The clouds were just perfect that day! The mood of it all spoke of long forgotten dreams rusting away as the building deteriorated.
This colorway was inspired by this abandoned elevator. The variegated skein starts with a deep rusty red-brown, moving into silvery grey, and then into a soft buttery tan. This a fantastic fall color!

Please note that color variations may occur from skein to skein as a result of hand dyeing. I have matched the colors in the photo as close as real life as possible however some differences may be noticed from monitor to monitor. Please also order as many skeins as you need for your project as color variation may happen one dye lot to the next.
