Description
Kiku is the Japanese word for Chrysanthemum. This gorgeous color was inspired by giant Chrysanthemum blossoms in Hirosaki, Japan. The brilliant pinks and yellows are captured in this variegated colorway with just a hint of orange at the blending points. During their Kiku Matsuri (Chrysanthemum festival) in the fall the entire castle grounds are filled these beautiful blooms. They were showcased in their natural beauty as well as adorning mannequins that depict important moments of history in northern Japan.
This new speckle version of this colorway is created with three shades of pink and a golden yellow. Some skeins may have more speckles than others.
